Director's Comments

New Accomplishments:
Our newest activities include: 

• Through a grant from the Youth Advisory Committee we were able to add pottery wheels and a kiln, along with easel painting.  The campers really enjoy creating with their hands, and for many this is the only time they get a chance to work in this type of medium.
• Through a partnership with The Rock in Midland MI, we now offer rock-climbing once a week for our campers.  Trained staff from The Rock come to our camp and offer a safe, fun and accessible climbing experience.
• Through a fundraiser put on by Bubba’s Tri-City Cycles and the Christian Biking Association, $20,000 was raised to build an accessible boardwalk along the pond and an accessible dock that runs 20 feet over the water and is ten feet wide.  The campers are able to easily navigate the dock for fishing, sunbathing or simply socializing by the water.  With the building of this dock, we also have a sandy beach for access to swimming and sand castle building.
